I see Jazzmar Clax is on the Senior Day list.. looks like this is it for him... Isn't he a redshirt JR? Hopefully he can finish his playing career on high note elsewhere...

I had high hopes for him when he was recruited. I saw him as a bruising fullback who could open holes for the TB. Thank you Jazzmar for your contributions and I hope your college football experience is something you can look back on fondly.

FB Jazzmar Clax, a junior in terms of eligibility, will be among the 16 seniors honored by UConn Saturday on Senior Day.

Clax is on track to graduate. HIs role on the football team has obviously diminished lately.

If I recall correctly, wasn't Clax phased out of the program's on-field operations immediately following that taunting penalty against USF? What a Boneyard-tastic response by Diaco.

He wasn't playing much anyways. Mostly he was just on special teams. It was probably partly based on production and partly based on Verducci's play designs.

We just don't use the traditional FB much. We put guys in the backfield but they either have added skills (the TE's, Max, Marriner) or they are an o-lineman.

No. 13 Houston At UConn: Capsule And Two-Deep

Five Things To Know

1. The No. 13 Cougars are one of five undefeated teams in the country and the only one outside the Power Five conferences. The other unbeatens are No. 1 Clemson, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 6 Iowa.

2. UConn's Arkeel Newsome is 20th in the nation in all-purpose yards at 140.3 a game. Houston is among the FBS team leaders in various offensive categories and has scored 435 points in 10 games compared to UConn's 190 in 10 games.

3. Houston is first in the nation in turnover margin (plus 18). UConn is tied for 18th.

4. The Huskies lost to the only other ranked team (then-No. 22 Missouri) it played this year and that was on the road. The highest-ranked opponent the Huskies have beaten at home was No.11 South Florida in 2007.

5. UConn is seventh nationally interceptions with 15, led by Jamar Summers' six. Houston's Ward has thrown just four picks this year.
