Hopkins (12-0)
Minnetonka, MN

Hopkins beat Aquinas (WI) 78-57 at home, leading by as many as 30 points. Kayhla Adams scored 24 points, while Maya Nnaji grabbed 12 rebounds.

Don't know how ESPN Ranks HS Teams as I'm sure the staff compiling the data hasn't seen most of the teams that are ranked. There's also a tremendous disparity in the level of competition that teams play. Is a Ranking even worth it, except for bragging rights? Hopkins HS started the season ranked #4.

Being that it's ESPN, there's probably 2 guys with laptops sitting in their living room checking box scores to determine them. All guesswork.

ESPN ranks HS teams the same way it ranks players and has been for years. They also sponsor and televise a National HS champion tournament at the end of the season. It used to be called ESPN Rise tournament now called Dicks National. This is a big accomplishment for Hopkins HS because they are not allowed to play outside the State in season. Hopkins cannot participate in tournaments like Tournament of Champions in Arizona, West Coast Jamboree in Cal or Beach Ball Classic in SC. I did hear Paige say in a recent interview that Hopkins was anticipating an invite to Dicks National this year. Hamilton Heights featuring Cardosa and Hunt has played in that tournament the last couple of years.

Hopkins HS got the #1 Seed for Class 4(AAAA) and play their first game on Wednesday 10 AM

Wednesday / At Williams Arena
