Maddie Cox '23 must be Lauren's younger sister, yeah? From Flower Mound, TX. Pretty sure she was on TV the other day during the WNBA draft.
Yes Maddie cox is lauren’s Youngest sister! She’s also best friends with Sammie Wagner who is a Baylor commit so most likely she’s going to come to Baylor and follow in big sis’s steps! She plays just like LaurenMaddie Cox '23 must be Lauren's younger sister, yeah? From Flower Mound, TX. Pretty sure she was on TV the other day during the WNBA draft.
I hope she comes to Baylor! We know Kim loves her big girls!I saw Betts' mom tweet about McCowan's superb opening game in the WNBA. I'm just guessing here, but my gut tells me she either goes Kim or Vic.

Is Mir not in the top 100 anymore?
Out of the 2, I'm guessing theres a good chance she ends up in Austin with Vic/Johnnie. Going from Denver to Waco is a much different environment than Denver to Austin.
Stanford has had a lot of luck recruiting in Colorado over the years and Ms. Prechtel had a very good frosh season in 2019-20.
Another maybe factor: if I recall a conversation during the U.S.A. games in Chile, Ms. Betts plays for and gets a lot of coaching from Colorado Premier founder Keith Van Horn, the former NBA and Utah player. He's apparently a huge force in her basketball life.
Once Prechtel joined Colorado Premier, Van Horn began to mold her game. He has been so successful that people started calling Prechtel "Little Keith."
"There's certainly some resemblance in size, ability to shoot the 3 and play inside and out," Van Horn said. "People often ask me if she is my daughter. We've spent the past few years correcting people."
Not sure on her academics, but Raegan Beers is another very talented ‘22 CO post player. She’s about 6-3, but has a very strong frame and soft touch. She had 14 points and 15 rebounds against Grandview’s frontline of Betts and Addison O’Grady (‘21 Iowa commit). The academics hurdle is always a question mark for Stanford in recruiting, but as of last update Betts was still on our long list of 2022 targets, so anything's possible. My uninformed gut opinion is that Kiki Rice (niece of Stanford alum and former NSA Susan Rice) and Timea Gardner are our most probable top 10 2022 recruits.
I wonder if UConn has ever had a player from Colorado? Seems like an item Geno/CD want to check off their "bucket list"...Stanford has had a lot of luck recruiting in Colorado over the years and Ms. Prechtel had a very good frosh season in 2019-20.

He's apparently a huge force in her basketball life. ND's Beth Cunningham follows him on twitter (Beth was overseeing recruiting once Niele left. Now that Niele is back, who knows?), so I'll bet ND is trying to take a successful run at a player west of the Mississippi. Miles played with Betts, but she did with Aaliyah Moore and Moore went with Vic to UT. Stay tuned.
