Lots of back and forth the last few weeks. Pretty safe to say everyone's got their opinions and they aren't changing. One things for certain; PC and UConn both are all in for AMA.

Lets make a pact. No revisionist history. I don't care if the kid who takes his slot at the losing school ends up being Lebron James. I don't want to hear about who was a bigger priority. Man up, put your name in the thread. If your school wins; to the victor goes the spoils. If your school loses; I don't want any back pedaling or excuse making.

Look your opponent in the eye and admit you lost; like a man.

Lol. You really are just trolling. You'd never post something like this if PC wasn't the leader, which they appear to be.

Everyone should be well aware at this point that Abu is priority #1 for both schools...this thread is redundant with all the other PC/Abu threads

If he so happens to go to PC then its back on the trail for Ollie to find the next one. Wouldn't be the first time we lost out on someone we went all in for, and wouldn't be the last

not that i care but i just want to ask, why did you post this? you've got to have something better to do than troll a uconn message
board. you could have easily posted this in all the other hundred of PC related threads.

One day I hope a UConn/PC recruit makes a PC Board account, and releases his UConn commitment decision on the PC Board. That'd be classic.

How about this?

If AMA commits to UCONN, you F off.
If AMA commits to PC, you F off.

But, and here is the key, you F off until he commits.

Winning and losing happens on the court. In March. And April.

That's what you guys don't seem to get.

I posted this bc some posters here insist that "UCONN has never lost a recruit to PC that was a top priority"; even though we all know that's not accurate.

As far as a recruit posting on the PC site that he was coming to uconn; that would be funny.

As funny as the poster here who jumped the gun on Brandon Austin last year.

That was a real knee slapper.

Jesus, the guy who started that thread was immediately ridiculed by Uconn fans. I know it's fun for you to be some sort of vigilante who responds to every single post on this site related to your school, but we really don't need your help.

I'm not sure I get the point of this. Sure AMA is priority #1 for UConn it appears. Same for PC. I say appears because nobody is reading the coaches minds. Your statement makes no sense though. Lets pretend PC gets AMA and he's the next Jeff Adrien, UConn ends up with someone who ends up the next Charles Barkley. Are you saying UConn fans should continually lament the fact the previous happened? That's absurd.

Yeah, I'm still disappointed Ben Gordon didn't accept the Duke offer quick enough and we got stuck with him instead of the guy who went to Duke (forget his name, which says it all).

A few things regarding Austin. First, the jury is out regarding how good he is. IMHO, he'll need at least a year to adjust. Don't overrate him.
Second, UConn's #1 priority was Xavier Raytheon Mays. When Mays committed to Fla., UConn got involved late with Austin.
Third, Cooley cleverly capitalized on the fact that Ollie only had a 7 month contract at that time. Most so called recruiting experts say that cost Ollie Mr. Austin, and, a few other recruits. That includes Jay Bilas on national TV.
Had we landed Austin we may never have landed Purvis and/or Hamilton.

PC fans are like orphans who grew up without any love, and when they finally get a good grade in school or have something else to be proud of, traverse the globe looking for all the praise and esteem they can lap up. Humor him. It will pass.

As far as I know the issue with Austin was 100% academics. He wanted UConn but the admissions office blocked him -- still influenced by the APR scandal. After admissions killed us with XRM and Austin, they loosened up a bit so as not to kill the golden goose. I don't think admissions is going to be a problem going forward.

Remains to be seen but one risk for PC and all the package deal and FAB5 Chris Webber stuff - if one or 2 guys quickly commit elsewhere - the whole thing blows up as does the main rationale for attending PC. For Cooley probably worth the risk.

Pretty sure that was with other recruits not named Austin.

I think you're confusing Austin with Jordan Bell, Bell had his visit blocked because he hadn't taken his SATs yet. There wasn't any issues like that with Austin tho, and there was alot of rumblings around that time that he would've committed to UConn if Ollie had a long term deal.

Most on the board were 99% convinced that Austin was the kid referred to in that statement (by Telep?) about Ollie's contract. It was a NYC kid with handlers formerly close to Calhoun. The quote came from the handlers.

Says the fan of the second tier Conference school with NO NCAA tourney wins lately and not a sniff of the NCAA Championship.

AMA would be just another tiny little victory for you to crow. Meanwhile, WE (UCONN) are after the Big Kahuna. You can have any little smidge you taste ... I will take UCONN every freaking minute of every freaking day.
