The answer is zero. BSU and BYU are nice games but are not BCS. If you are happy playing west coast non BCS games, then you have no reason to complain about the AAC. Michigan is still coming because of a crazy buyout #. NYC did't happen meanwhile Cuse can't scheule away enough games to NYC as possible. Its a interesting argument but not for this.
BSU-the last time they got a BCS team at home was Oregon St in 2010 (TCU 2011 was not BCS). In 2009 they had Oregon at home. In 2006 & 2004 they hosted Oregon St. This is all going back to 2003. BSU schedules 1 off N site games vs BCS schools or just big time away games. All they were able to get was games vs the state next to them for obvious reasons that works well for the BCS schools. All of these games were very early in the season schedule wise.
We signed a home and home with them. I think that BSU is a worthhile game and series considering our current position, but if you think this solves an issues, you are the idiot. Between the travel, recruiting grounds, tv market, alums in area and much more, you have to be smoking the Warde pipe if this is your go to.
BYU-Going indy has greatly increased the struggles of the quality games late in season. First off, if we get a invite elsewere that late return date then eats up our in conf week bye. We will have 2 early season bye's that year. So one of our nice warm weather weekends will go down the drain and our schdule will be more grueling with a likely finish of x of weeks in a row. Tough stretch to put your program in. On to BYU, justlike BSU they are a nice game for or current situation but again they are not pump chest material.
BYU has GTech at home on Oct 13th this year. Last year on that date they got Oregon St. Those are the only 2 BCS schools to visit BYU goin back 10 years later than Oct 1st on a schedule. UConn going to BYU is a nice CF trip tradition wise and its a TV draw but it lacks other substance. But look at the date we laded compared to these 2 and also what Cincy scheduled with BYU. We got hosed, or we have a AD not capble of basic things.
Both of these games are nice, but the setups scream desperate to the rest of the CF world. Perception is everything, I keep preaching it because UConn continues to not get it. For anyone to not simply answer zero to question is sad, it blue glasses sad. You all know where I stand on Warde, but after the spring game I figured more here would wake up. I Honestly think I and others here can do his job way better for 1/4th the price. He is not the answer for this state. USF and Cincy ar running train on him but because this board is so quiet, the fanbase and media are also quiet and no on realizes whats going on outside the bubble. I saw some one mention the bball schedule. Its ok. But I would rather be arrested for murder then give BC the chance to beneit off our name in a tney. so help me god. Warde is soft, basic and competent. But thats not what we need. We need a agressive, loud go getter.
