As Gabby Williams sees it, this was simply her turn to help lead the Connecticut basketball team.

"Now, we’re getting to the point that we decide when our season is going to end,” William said. “We’re trying to get ourselves mentally prepared for the tournament.”

Gabby is an example of a great kid who has overcome some really bad luck during her HS days. Having major knee injuries that took two years of competition away from her, she catches a break when Geno still believes enough in her future to invite her to Storrs. And she had enough faith in herself and in Geno to make that trip. Kudos to both.
