Great article. Did not know Donovan McNabb was her uncle (married to her dad's sister), nor that she'd be playing in the Pan Am games for Canada this summer. If this kid makes a freshman-sophomore leap, she's going to be sensational next year (since she as already really really good this year)... Can't wait to see her grow!!

As a hockey fan, I've always respected the fact that when a Canadian NHL tam plays in the U.S., both National anthems are played. Do you think that UConn could/would do that for Kia? If not for every game, at least for her Senior Night game? Yeah, I know that it's a long way off...Just thinking out loud after reading the article...

Isn't it strange that Indiana and Penn State were the only schools other than UConn that offered her a scholarship? You would think that the Dukes and Notre Dames and Stanfords of the world would have noticed her and tried to recruit her.

I wish she would take more time off from competitive basketball than what she seems to be planning for the upcoming summer.

I did not see it, but it was reported that the family and friends brought the canadian flag to the NC game.
