We lived on a narrow road ( a dead end one) 4 miles in. When Sandy hit they didn't even clear the trees blocking the road for 6 days!!! Also understand we had a large house. Not going say the square footage, but with the furnace running for heat, the pump for the well and the hot water heater in addition to all the lights and the like, seemed reasonable.
