Heard from a very credible source yesterday that we have games lined up for Webster Bank Arena already for the season and may end up just doing a mens and women's double header at Mohegan. As someone who lives in Stamford, it would be awesome to not have to drive 2 hours or so to go see a home game (even tho games at Gampel are the best). Mohegan could be nice tho. Make a weekend out of it.

These are not going to be the major games....the student attendance at these games at the XL has been pretty spotty anyway so the school sees it as an opportunity to bring in some new attendees for these games.

It was a matter of when not if. Its not like they have a small fan base down state, and NYC metro. Its about time as well, Storrs is the campus but the UConn brand is bigger than Storrs in this state. Also who else is there in CT on our level? Especially when you compare us to other states, many of which have multiple college teams that are good. With that said I won't get to excited because it may be a on a trail basis.

But for people to think its to appease nearby opponents and their fans are dead wrong. Trust me UConn has a huge fan base south of New Haven which consequently will certainly grow stronger/larger.
