HC may not renew series

i can certainly understand. Gibbons mentioned that he needs to do what is best for his team. Geno said they may try to look for another New England team to take their place but he's not sure who that would be. Boston College maybe? ;)

I recall hearing Geno say that it was really up to HC. A break would be a good thing for both teams, I think.

Since New England is Boston College's exclusive turf, according to their AD, it would be presumptuous for UConn to play them. Then kick their ass from Storrs to Chestnut Hill. All exposed in the Boston Globe.

I think its probably for the best, especially for UCONN who now can hopefully schedule a more competitive team.

Pretyy much the same thing has happened wtih UHart. Geno left it up to Jen and at some point Jen decided to at least take a break from the series. Other New England possibilities besides BC? UMass? Vermont? Maine traditionally supports the women's team....maybe Stephen King would stop by Gampel as he did in round 1 of the NCAA's in 1995.

Marist! Make it happen, folks.

Perfect!

There is always the issue of the home and home aspect of the arrangement. I don't recall precisely the ratio of home to away games in the HC contract but it isn't 1:1. It may be 3 or 4:1. UConn would likely be looking for a similar arrangement to which many schools may not agree.
