So the wives of our tailgate crew wanted to go to a sports bar last night. We're sitting in Groggy Frog's in Southington watching Yanks-Sox & the NFL Draft. A-Rod ties Willie Mays. Then the Giants pick in the 3rd round: Owa Odighizuwa. We all looked at each other & wondered how that name is pronounced. I thought back to eons ago when Winston L. first stepped up to the plate against the Yanks & Phil Rizzuto asked Frank Messer the same question, then said let's wait for Bob Sheppard to announce him. When Sheppard a introduced him as Winston "Genniss", Phil gave his signature response. By the way, as to the Giants draft pick: My wife's quip was: "let's just call him "Diggie"!
