Does anyone know why UConn doesn't play UMASS or Rhode Island anymore? It's amazing that uconn played Rhode Island every year from 1916-1981.

Does anyone know why UConn doesn't play UMASS or Rhode Island anymore? It's amazing that uconn played Rhode Island every year from 1916-1981.

They don't play UMass any more because UMass thought they were a high major team and wanted to play equal home and away in the series. UConn didn't think UMass was high enough profile to get a deal like that. When was the last time UMass made the NCAA Tournament? They haven't been very good the last few years.

Not sure about URI.
