Couple of things I noticed from the highlights:

1. Castle does a lot of coaching/configuring on the court. Saw a handful of times he was pointing others where to go, what to do with the ball, etc. We knew this coming in, but he seems to have a great basketball mind.

2. Castle looks very at home at the high post backing down smaller guards. Had an assist and then that beautiful post move. Can be like an Andre down there, but with a much more refined offensive game.

3. Samson is a literal pogo stick. Came down with a few boards, didn’t even set his feet and bounced right up. Very quick second jump.

4. Karaban was seeking contact and finishing through it tremendously. Lower competition, I get that, but if he can consistently drive and get to the line to match up with his knockdown outside shot….Watch out.

5. Diarra looked really good finding teammates. Had a dime to Samson for that dunk, and gets in the lane pretty well. I think we hoped Solo could be a secondary ballhandler but he didn’t seem to have the confidence. I’m sure it will come, but in the meantime Diarra should be more than serviceable.
