HFS…Solo out next year with a wrist injury

No doubt - you’re not curious as to how they are managing NIL?
You haven't learned yet that there in no objectivity in the BY. Anything with a negative connotation and you get ridiculed. Just watch the replies and thumbs down to this comment lol....

Oh I’ve realized, I appreciate the 10% that are. It leads to interesting convo.

Not sure she has any real inside info.. seems like a narrative with limited facts
Yeah I’m not sure the level of credibility she has in this.

But she has 41k followers including Front Office Sports and other journalists in the industry so I thought it was worth the share. It’s also the most in depth reporting I’ve seen on his situation in general.

It passed the usual RuffRuff page with 50 followers and a paid for blue check smell test.

Multiple articles have confirmed that he originally injured his wrist in the Dec 16th BE opener vs Butler, and then tweaked it again against Xavier in the New Years Eve game. So in the 13 games(including the 2 exhibitions) prior to the Big East opener, Solo shot 23/89 from 3, 26%. During his time away/rehab there has to be more done to figure out what was going on with his shot, it's funny that he actually shot "better" after the wrist injury.

It's not much of a sample size. He was in a big slump and then he hurt his shooting wrist and was in horrible pain and had to compensate. Never got a chance to get his shot going.

A 40 percent shooter over 90 shots putting up 26 percent isn’t unexpected. Nothing has to be done to figure out a cold stretch

We'll revist in 2027-2028, now all of the comments during the season opening slump asking why were his legs spraying out and whether or not he was more concerned with seeking out contact after the release never happened. the footwork/mechanics gotta get cleaned up to be more consistent.

If we had Solo available next year I think we'd be national title favorites or at least widely considered a top 3 team preseason. We still may be.
This is true, but if they fill the roster out successfully the team might actually be stronger each of the next two years under the current scenario.

Short answer is no. Look it, I am an attorney. I tell my clients all the time: do not do research on your own, or ask your Uncle Know it all for advice. I am the person in this world who knows the most about your case. Heed my advice. Similarly, I will let Hurley and the staff worry about the money. They know infinitively more about that than I, or any of us, for that matter.
Fair point, but if you take this logic to its conclusion, we should never question anything Hurley or the staff do and we should never have a contrary opinion about the choices they make or even wonder what they were thinking or want to try to understand it better because it is just not our place to have thoughts. In your analogy, your client can talk to you as the expert and get your advice. We don't have the luxury of being able to talk to Hurley. This is the best we can do. And it is fun (at least for some of us).

Maybe it took him some time to figure out how to shoot with the wrist injury.

I am not paying all that much attention to the five-in-five rule, but would the implementation of this rule negate the need for Solo to redshirt this coming season? Perhaps allowing him to heal and then come back later on once he is fully healthy?

Correct

The direct question Ruff asked me was if I cared about our NIL. I love this back and forth but I don’t spend one minute worrying about NIL. This coaching staff has shown they know what they are doing.

Glad you are enjoying it too. I worry about NIL just because I assume we don't have an unlimited budget and the difference between winning and losing is in the margins. Being shrewd with NIL is one place to find advantage in the margins. You just want to trust Hurley that he will never waste a single penny of NIL that's fine but everyone is human and we should always be looking for any advantage we can get.
