...in that teams that keep losing to the same conference foes win at the end when it counts. If you think about last season, we won a squeaker at ND (same this year, except they won at home in OT) then beat them pretty soundly at home (same site, different result this year) and then won a close game in the BET finals. That remains to be seen, of course. And we all know what happened in the FF. But beating a good team (which I think UConn is this year, despite its flaws) four times in a season is really tough. And it's strange for UConn to be the underdog in any rivalry, but here we are.
Also, Notre Dame has a certain swagger about them now, they think they've got our number. They might be right, this season. But I think we can steal a game from them, and I'm hoping it's at the end of the season, not the middle. They probably know that if they are going to beat us it has to be this year, because it sure isn't going to happen the next three or four.
I think it's a pretty healthy rivalry, Becca incident aside. Hopefully it doesn't turn ugly like UT-UConn. That said, I sure don't want to see them win a NC. Screw conference loyalty
