What the hel is this guy taking about: KY with 10 national titles?

ps - it's KY.com

"Were it not for UConn, it's possible Kentucky would now have 10 men's basketball NCAA championships and be breathing down the neck of UCLA's 11 all-time titles. If not for Connecticut, it's possible Calipari would have won three national championships in his five years as Kentucky coach and be in the midst of an epic coaching run."

Kentucky has 8 national championships, but if they hadn't lost to us in 2011 and 2014, would have 10.

Championships in 1948, 1949, 1951 and 1958. I still have a 'back to back' t-shirt for that dynasty in the 40's.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his butt with every hop.

The interesting thing about Rupp's 1948 to 1951 teams is
In 1950 they won the SEC and even as defending champs were not invited to the NCAA tourney in 1950. They lost in the NIT to CCNY.
Those teams almost killed Ky basketball as three players on the 1948 ,49 team were indicted for point shaving.
The star of the 1951 Bill Spivey was never indicted but the 7 footer was blackballed from the NBA. He claimed his innocence to his death.
I saw Spivey Play in person in the 50's in game at Shelton High school.
Spivey scored 67 points mostly on hook shots.
Ed Roman from CCNY 1950 team ,who actually was indicted also played in the game with a number of other
Blackballed stars .
I would suspect that group in proper condition would have challenged the NBA best.
The prelim was a ladies game that featured Brakettes superstar pitcher Joan Joyce.
Who threw in. 30 . She could start for the Lady a Huskies
Maybe the greatest athlete ever from Ct . She took up golf after she retired in her40 's and actually got an LpGA card.

This is highly ironic. Many people here complain about media and fans hati g UConn. This is interpreted as an indication of disrespect. This makes the case that fans should hate UConn because UConn is so good.

No one hated UConn in the 80s
