HELP....the dam emails will not stop, they come and come

Ok really, is this an april fools joke and I did not get the punch line...went to alerts and unchecked all the preferences .....

make sure you also go to your preferences and uncheck this stuff

• Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
  • and receive email notifications of replies

I have unchecked everything and still get the emails.

This is the only thing that has not worked, so it is not huge, just annoying

Even after changing that setting, any thread you posted in before changing it is still considered as "watched". Go to the thread that is still sending emails and edit your posts in it. When doing so click the more options button and unclick the watch this thread check box

Or I think you can just hit the "unwatch thread" at the top of the thread
