Well at least if you live in CT you may have a case. I can tell you from personal experience your options may be limited. But you really have to find a lawyer who focuses on edit employment law. Also if you do not have a contract and fall under the at will employee umbrella it’s tough to win a major case against your employer, unless you have some type of class discrimination issue. If it is something more like a hostile working environment having more than one employee making the same claim is an enticement for the attorney.
If you work for a big company look for someone with a track record of suing big companies. Usually that lawyer ends up hating those big companies and already has the motivation.
