Both teams have the Heart of a Champion. A game for the ages. The greatest game Ive ever seen. There was no quit in either team. The Paige and Azzi show was the difference. Alot of things happened last nite and may have gone unnoticed. First when Geno brought in the second unit the game changed and we built a 10 pt lead. My thought is NC State didnt know what to expect or how to guard us then Dorka went down which changed the momentum of the game. Dorkas injury is huge moving forward. We've learned to overcome alot this season and we will learn to overcome Dorkas injury too. Our depth is key moving forward and teams may not be prepared for our second unt coming in and flat out turning up the speed of the game. Second The Paige and Azzi show came alive. They took the game over and the belief they can do it moving forward is huge. They can get their own shot and are unstoppable. Still its a team game and everybody contributed. Christyn is playing with alot of heart, and a no quit attitude. Edwards improvement game by game is amazing. Still the biggest hurdle is what this team has had to overcome which has made them stronger. You saw that in the game last nite. They have the heart of champions. They have belief and they have the attitude to reach back and do what they have to do to win. Its been a tuff year and with Dorka down now its just one more thing to overcome and we will overcome this too. There are those who think they can and there are those who think they cant and this season with all we have had to overcome has given us the mindset that we can do it. What has happened to this team over the season has made us what we saw last nite. NC State played a great game. They too have the heart of champions. They too could be going to the final 4. It is a very tuff loss for them. What really bothers me is there are so many media people that seem to hate UConn. If NC State had won Im sure some in the media would be talking about how great NC State is and all the positives. Instead they are taking hits at UConn. Geno has done so much for the game. With everything this UConn team has gone through this season you would think they would be talking about what UConn has overcome to get here and how great a story it is. Instead we have some who show there hate/dislike for UConn because of their great accomplishments. There is not place for this in sports tv. Moving on to Minny this weekend Lookout Hear comes Tomorrow.
