Simply put, Adams and Miller are our best offensive options because each of them can create their own shots in 1on1 situations. Daniel Hamilton can at times, but I like him more as a facilitator. Both Adams and Miller had 2 fouls early in the first half vs Cinci and were in and out of the game... And that's when our offense went flat.

Adams and Miller need to stay out of foul trouble. Miller prides himself on his defense but he commits too many silly fouls.

If we can keep Adams and Miller on the floor while playing solid d, I like our chances to make a run.

Agreed but yesterday showed us how good we can be when we play as a unit. Brimah was a menace on the defensive end. Gibbs had some big shots that kept us around. Purvis had his moments. Even Facey and Phil contributed. We needed every last point, rebound and turnover. The fact that no one fouled out till OT was a good sign. Hoping were rested and have a grudge against Temple. Combine that with yesterday's energy and I think we come out with fire.

Keeping Brimah out of foul trouble is big. The home game against SMU(a win) was also one of his best because he stayed out of foul trouble.

brimah needs to stay out of foul trouble, maybe not starting him was a good thing?? idk... miller and adams need to stop committing stupid fouls, they're unnecessary and hurt the team

Adams is a freshman and we have to live with mistakes. Miller is a fifth year senior with a college degree, and I'm tired of defending him by talking (accurately) about how so many of his fouls don't need to be called.

We need Miller on the court, and he needs to stop the unnecessary soft fouls and stay on the floor. And it's extra true today because he played less than 20 minutes yesterday and we need not just his skills but his fresh legs.

Miller only played 18 minutes so he'll be fresh against Temple today. Let's just pray he gets a fair shake from the zebras for once.

Miller is a handsy defender that's not gonna change today. He did get a monster deflection late in the game yesterday.

Brimah should have confidence going up vs bond since he is much shorter than Ellis. He needs to be boxed out though pretty similar to Gary Clark .

I have a feeling if we make the NCAAs we'll outperform our seed because the officiating will be better.

This was huge in 2011 as Kemba getting clobbered on every drive was finally a foul.

This is it. Before I read any of the posts, I was going to say "Miller needs to keep himself on the floor. He's the only reason he isn't."

He does seem to get a lot of phantom calls, but the reality is, you have to adjust. Play as crystal clean a game as you can. We need him.

I honestly think it is. For some players, that just works out. Players on the court feel each other out. Guy on the bench can kind of get into the flow by watching. Avoids that crucial early minute foul opportunity.

That's why I used to love the BE. UCONN was one of the few teams who could adjust their style to all types of play. They'd go through the ringer of the BE schedule/reffing, become tough as nails, and then take it out on all the other conference teams in the Dance. The anti-Pitt if you will.

It was not just opponent's offensive schemes; the BE prepared you against a variety of defenses better than any other conference. The closest now days is the Big12.
