Hmmm - glad the NCAA one game suspension one for a recruiting violation - I assumed that it was the NCAA response to 15 years of academic fraud related to her athletes eligibility when I first read that one ban was being imposed for an NCAA violation! Seemed a little minimal, but then academics isn't really in the NCAAs purview, when it comes to a fine institution like UNC.

I'm amazed the NCAA were able to perform such a quick review of the issue come down on SH so hard. Would not have expected any decision from them on this matter for at least another year or two. It is North Carolina after all, and we don't want to rush to judgement.

To be fair it only took them 48 hours to slap Geno on the wrist for his call to Mone Davis.

The NCAA seem to be OK passing quick justice on some programs, but take an unusually long time with others - which was the point perhaps expressed too sarcastically. They were able to keep UCONN out of the Big East and NCAA tournaments over the GPA issue passing judgment all in one season (including appeals) whereas we are still waiting to hear what the NCAA are going to do about NC's fake classes well over a year after this all came to light. I was just surprised that they were able to quickly pass judgment on any issue when it comes to one of their "favored" schools.

I hope the contact wasn't intentional. I really like Hatchell and it would surprise me to find that she meant to make contact, but until I see video I don't really knows.
