or a Alcorn St or Austin Pea type team? I know that before Calhoun it probably happend, but to lose to a seed team is just bad.

San Diego, but they're from a slightly better conference. It was a 4-13 game in 2008.

I know we've all tried to forget, but George Mason fits the bill

George F"ING MASON!

*Ripping hair out*

but IMO the Colonial Conference is a good mid-major.

George Mason would only fit the bill if it was in the first round....or if they hadn't beaten UNC the round before...

George Mason was an 11 seed and was cracked the top 25 at one point during the season I think. Obviously we should have beat them given the talent difference but I don't think losing to them is on the same planet as losing to Lehigh.

George Mason was in the final 8, GM was good enough to get that far, in the gaame against San Diego, we lost Price to an ACL. Losing to Lehigh in the 1st round, any loses like that? Duke has had a few loses like that.

They didn't. They beat them in the second round haha. They beat Wichita State in Sweet 16 and Michigan State in the first round.

VCU and GMason are both from the Colonial Athletic. Gives that conference a little more street cred.

Mason's a painful memory for us, but in reality any team that earns its way to a FF can't be that bad.

Would you put Lehigh over Duke in the same category as Princeton over UCLA? Or was that Princeton team much better than Lehigh?

I don't even think it was the biggest upset of the day let alone all time. Mizzou won a better conference than Duke even plays in and was ranked number 3 this year. Norfolk State comes from the MEAC, which if I'm not mistaken, only had one other tournament win (not counting play-in games) prior to tonight.

We even had a 9 point lead against G Mason and had a Denham Brown buzzer beater to send it into OT to give us some momentum going into overtime. I will definetly put Dukes loss ahead of ours a 15th seed.

We gave that game away, Boone got chewed up by their bigs down low, and Armstrong didn't do much better, we should have won that game. Every game before that one was a nail biter, Vermont and Washington were tough and Rashad Anderson make some HUGE clutch shots in 2006. So much talent on that team, Rudy Gay too, man, how do we lose that game?

That's right. My bad.

I assume you mean Albany.

Norfolk State is a good 15 seed. They nearly beat Marquette!

Lehigh deserved the win as much as any other lower seed deserves their time in the sun. Duke didn't lose, Lehigh won and they move on. If you don't play your A game in the tourney you can watch it on TV like the rest of us.

Lehigh would have beat a lot of Div 1 teams, including us probably, last night. They were hot and in the tourney that's all it takes (with a little luck). Doesn't mean they are the better team but for one night they put it all together the way it was designed/dreamed to be.

Even before the tournament that Husky team was coming undone. I think it was the regular season finale against ND where our guys really struggled and you could just see that things were going the wrong way. At least that's what I seem to remember, someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Wasn't that the year WVU destroyed us in the BET? We seriously looked like we didn't want to play any more after the game was like eight minutes old.
