So going back to watch CD's minutes last game... her shot form looked wonky. I don't know what it was, but at one point, her form looked like that Creighton's girl's "fishing reel" shot.

I know that she's been injured and likely was unable to practice for at least a year or 2. But has her shot always been like that? Or has it degraded because of her injuries rendering her unable to participate for such a long time?

No disrespect to Ducharme. Simply just wondering if that's always been her shot. I don't remember since her freshman season, where she really shined, feels so long ago.

Caroline's perimeter jumper has always looked a bit like a shove from chin height. Allie's form is similar. By contrast, Paige and Azzi and Ash and Sarah all have the classic above the forehead wrist-flick release.

Great video, by the way. I love seeing Caroline playing with no fear.

She has always had a different delivery from my POV but it is good to see her on the court. She isn't really quick, she isn't that fast either but she has a big basketball IQ and gets to the right spot a lot and has great size. What I appreciate more than anything though is she appears to be playing with NO fear. She certainly gives UConn one more cog for the wheel.

Caroline shot great her freshman year but even then her three pointers didn't have a lot of arch on them so if they were a bit too short or too long there was little chance of them going in.....contrast that with Azzi's shot which almost always has the proper arch and rotation giving her balls a better chance of going in even if slightly off......

No disrespect to Caroline but I also believe her outside shot is different now. My theory is that in game situations that she hurries her shots due to her still having some game rust. The NCAA Tournament is a big deal and she is probably still a bit nervous. Afterall, probably a month ago she may have been practicing full time but had no idea that she would be playing in the first half of a game in the Dance.
Really, really looking forward to watching her improve every time she is in a game. If she doesn't, no big deal, next season she will be back to freshman Caroline.

Caroline has always been an innovator when it comes to getting off a shot. She can snake through a crowd and push up a dipsy-doodle shot that will almost always go in. She is a master at using the backboard. As for her outside shot, I don't see a difference but I did enjoy the commenter who wrote that it isn't as sweet as Azzi's shot--no one's is.
