He did get some 5-star players in this period with Grimes (transferred) and Devon Dotson (undrafted after sophomore season) and Bryce Thompson (transferred). There were no major contributors to the championship from the class of 2020 or 2021 recruiting. I have a decent amount of respect for Self's coaching ability, but the rampant and known cheating by him and his staff is still unpunished by the NCAA and is continually glossed over by the media.
