I mean, for Christ sake, it was only a couple years ago we were beating Pitt, WVU and Cinci in the Big East and now we're losing at home to Towson as a member of the AAC?

Those two night games vs Pitt and WVU was where I said to myself, this is where UConn football has its turning point. Ee are on our way. Performance was top notch and enthusiasm was at an all time high.

Now, with P, conference realignment and this pathetic loss who can blame people of they don't want to show up?

I believe Arkansas last yr fell alot quicker only took a 15 minute motorcycle ride for that program to fall quickly. 11-1 to 4-8(with pretty much the entire team back) losing to UL-Monroe and barely beating Tulsa.

But they just hired one of the best coaches in the land! Smith was one & done ! We're letting this carcass stand on the sideline for a third year!

I find it insulting that you would compare a carcass to PP. Carcasses are for more useful.

The real question is, did a program ever rise after than us? We went from D1-AA to a BCS game in ten years and everyone expected that to be the rom. Hathaway hired a wiener and Suzie and Warde vacationed, Ville and Cuse passed us by an the rest is history

Lets face it PP has put us in such a hole this could take a few seasons to get things back on track.

Colorado fell apart pretty quickly in the early 00s.
I was thinking of Colorado, too.

On the bright side, we're still in the AAC. The program can be turned around. Hire Bobby Petrino? Make sure he gets a contract that penalizes heavily him for leaving.

I still vividly remember sandstorm between the third and fourth quarters against Pitt in 2010. They played that song at the same time tonight. It felt like a different universe.

We will need a 4-6 year plan with a complete rebuild to back to a bowl. Everyone needs to go, including dj joe and all of the parking attendants. We need to start from scratch.

Even sadder that we are comparing our team to past losers, to somewhat justify our predicament.

As bad as Pasqualoni is, Kragthorpe was MUCH worse. Pasqualoni didn't inherit 17 returning starters from a team that won a BCS bowl and started in the top 10.

You guys may be frustrated but Kragthorpe is literally the worst coach in the history of college football. He makes Pasqualoni look like Bear Bryant.

Washington State fell off pretty hard from a Rose bowl in the early 2000's. Well see what leach can do with them now. I would have killed to hire him at the time.

It's what makes Jim Calhoun so remarkable. Many people - my wife is one - don't like him for his passion and his fury. But that's what it takes to achieve that level, and our football program has none of that.

And the didn't even do that right. They started it too late and had to cut it off before it really kicked in. Totally wasted.

Tennessee, post Peyton Manning.

So Tee Martin and the national championship really didn't occur? Could've sworn he was the OB after Peyton. But I digress, yes, UConn has fallen extremely fast.
