The Courant has a sale on where you can get 6 months for $1.00 with the ability to cancel any time. I just signed up and am set for the season.
Saw that yesterday.....thinking about it. It always takes me awhile to remember to cancel though.

I'll try again but, they've redlined West Haven in the past.
No problem with the Wall Street Journal or the recently canceled New York Times

Darn!

It appears to be just the digital version. Yes, it's a good deal but I like the look of printer ink on my fingers.

Not me, I hate washing twice when I visit the bathroom.

I was on their "182 Days for $1.82" promotion which just ran out and they started charging me $7.95/month. I have found no way to cancel online ("Manage Your Subscription" doesn't have a "cancel" facility), so I called them and keep getting the "All our customer service reps are busy serving other customers" recording.

Then this morning I clicked on a Courant article with a device that wasn't signed in, and got their $1.00 for 6 months offer (fine print says they start billing you $3.99/week after the 6 months). I think I'll go for that if it doesn't take me too much time to get through on the phone to cancel my current $7.95/month. If that ends up being too much trouble, then I'll skip it and just fuss with the workarounds.

Courant is very difficult to deal with, ad-crazy, and IMO just overall too frustrating for the vastly-deteriorated reporting quality they offer nowadays.

I've observed (to my great frustration) - the more high tech a company is, the less likely you can contact ANYONE at ANY level of authority in said company.
Don't believe me: Dial almost any company in California and - unless you have an individual's direct dial number - you won't get through to a human being.
Ironically, the more labor-saving "devices" the less time we have to be human.
