Happy Birthday Ron Francis. I just heard this on PTI and was not aware that he is number 2 in career assists behind Gretzty.
I always had an odd connection to him since we both broke our legs around the same time in 1986 and had the same orthopedic surgeon.
Like many fans the trade to Pittsburgh was painful and started the demise of the Whalers.
