Guess Whaley 3 Point Attempts Per Game

Interesting to see in the Akok vs Whaley 3 point thread that people think Whaley will MAKE more this year. Could be right based on playing time, but it still remains to be seen how many attempts he has per game. Hurley wants him to shoot, but will he?

How many 3 point attempts per game you think Whaley will average over the entire season?

i would think under 2. will also probably depend on how many he makes. im sure he'll get ample space to get some up if he chooses

If he's taking anything less than 2 per game that's going to be a bad sign. I'm not as down on our offense as most here for this season, but a lot of that is under the assumption Whaley is going to be a legitimate threat during his minutes at the 4

This sounds about right. 2 a game. Goes up if he is hitting them and down if not.

He averaged 1 a game last year. If Hurley wants him to make 30, he probably has to attempt 3 a game. It might fall into that 2.5-3 range, but I think Hurley will make him, and if he doesn't then Akok and Johnson will play more. It's imperative for our spacing with Jackson/Martin going to be playing big minutes and Sanogo needing as much space as he can get down low.

I’m confident saying double that. He ends up shooting about two 3’s per game and shoots 33%.

I think 2-3 would be good but we can’t have four on the perimeter and Sanogo setting screens at three point line anymore
