Back from the Arena and I am blown away by the toughness and determination the Sun displayed. Courtney Williams sprained her ankle badly and dragged it around until a stoppage. She stays in the game and immediately gets crushed on a screen, goes down and get kicked in the head. She looked disoriented or hobbled for a few seconds but played on. So. Freaking. Tough. She scored several hoops after that.

Jas was not 100% but plated as needed and played pretty well. She did not start, and when she first entered the game off the bench, she got a huge hand from the crowd. The Sun crowd is starting to get it, and appreciate what is going on here. Great to see.

Alyssa Thomas was tough as nails (as always) 21pts, 13rb, 4as. Just a monster pushing the pace and in the lane.

JJ is playing like an MVP. How about 19 pts, 16 rb, 5 bs, 4st AND 4as... an absolutely amazing talent.

Still catching my breath... these guys are so much fun to watch.

I hope that Jasmine Thomas can reclaim her starting spot. A side note.... of the 8 Duke players in the WNBA ... 7 are starters.... Haley Peters just got signed by Washington on a 10 day contract.

What ever happened to Tricia Liston? She was like a 41% WNBA career three point shooter.

Actually 44% in about 10 mpg... Waived by the Lynx after the 2015 season and not claimed. It takes more than a 3 point shot to make it in the W. I think she still plays in S. Korea.

Hooper from the same class seems to be surviving barely. I'd rate Liston over Pohlen in Indy. Liston wasn't that bad, she was just on a tough team to sustain a spot on the roster. I'm surprised another team didn't give her a shot. Makes me think she was ready to move onto non-basketball life. That's why I thought I'd ask the authority on Duke to see if they knew more.

What does Lewis of Seattle contribute more than an outside shot?

Thanks! It does sound like it was her choice to quit basketball. It's the only thing that makes sense. She wasn't waived after the 2015 season but rather right before 2016 training camp. I'm sure she got an invite to training camp since there's as many as 15 spots available in camp.

When you combine the overseas season with the WNBA back to back, it becomes difficult, both on your mind and body. You have very little time off in between either season and I don't think people realize how draining it can be. (I only did it for two years so I can only imagine the Diana Taurasi's and Seimone Augustus).

If you mean Mosqueda-Lewis, Kaleena has not made a big impact on a poorly coached Seattle team (although she showed out pretty effectively against the Sun). Maybe a better coach will get more out of her. I think she can be more than a 3 point specialist, but ultimately, if she doesn't provide more value than 144 other players in the W, she will go away too. It's the pros. Thanks for the memories, goodbye.

I was assuming Liston wanted to stay in the W. Maybe as another poster suggests, it was just too hard a grind and she chose to exit and just play overseas for a while. Didn't look that way but maybe.

The Sun have Danielle Adams on the roster. Her 3 point shooting does not justify her liabilities on the D. Her saving grace is that she appears to be a beloved teammate and she adds to the positive chemistry. I don't expect that will be enough next year. Thanks for the memories Danielle, goodbye. Tough business.

As a point of order, the 2016 training camp came after the 2015 season. Her last season in the W was 2015, and she was subsequently waived on April 16, 2016 when the Lynx signed Tennessee's Bashaara Graves. Both of our statements are correct. She did subsequently appear on a S. Korean roster so she does not appear to have "quit basketball" after her stint with the Lynx. I'm sure Triad can provide all the relevant details.
