What is curious about this report is Liz C's status.
Didn't she take off from her WNBA contract to focus on her Chinese team the Zhejiang Golden Bulls?
Which is the same team that Brit has just signed up with.
Either she's been dumped (only one foreigner allowed).
Or has signed up with a different team…for which there has been no discussion.
Who knows, maybe she'll show up in the WNBA after all.
No idea WNBA pays so little. It is no wonder all these ladies are playing aboard. It looks like China really wants to build up its basketball program for the ladies. Good for Moore and Griner.

It's because they can't afford to pay WNBA players huge salaries. It's just not popular enough to do so.
Look what happened to the ABL. They payed players big salaries (justifiably so), but it ended up folding. It's not an optimal solution by any means, but at least it allows US players to play on their home soil.
