It's a shame that college athletes cannot be themselves and miss out on many of the experiences that straight students enjoy. What a horrible time to have to be closeted.

Yes it is. It's been a long time since I was in college, but I didn't come out until my senior year. My mom almost didn't come to my graduation.

I wish I could link Linda Eder singing "I Am What I Am!" from the Broadway musical, "La Cage Aux Folles." It would fit for Griner (among many) perfectly.

A little exerpt:

"One life, and there's no return and no deposit
One life, time to open up your closet.
Life's not worth a damn 'til you can say
I am what I am!"

As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice." Big news yesterday from the synod in Rome.

Being described as "seismic shift" and "earthquake"

As Popeye said, "I am what I am and that's all that I am."
If everyone accepted that about everyone else, we'd be better off.
That sailor was also a heck of a thinker.

And if everyone would eat their spinach they would all be better off too
