Carter would be really good if she could learn to finish near the rim. Big weak spot for her right now.

M. Taylor while good defensively is zero threat offensively.

That is a problem that carried over from last year. At least we seem to be rebounding better.

With regards to the offense, we no longer have McCowan for offensive put backs or easy layups.

Just a personal thought.

I am not a fan of the current offense of dribbling back and forth side to side until someone gets open. I like some of the screen plays designed to get AEH and Bibby some good looks from 3 but outside of that I am not a fan of how the offense is run at all.

MSU has a lot of work to do. Not a #10 team right now.


I am not sure if its possible for AEH to shoot worse. She is straight up missing wide open shots. To be fair to her, she is playing very good defense right now. Carter would have almost 20 points if she could learn to make shots 2 feet from the basket. She has left a lot of points on the board. Whats crazy is she almost has a double double at half time.

AEH really struggling to make a shot. Vic has kept her on the floor because she defends pretty well. If she can make shots, they're a much better team. They'll need her to in big games. She wasn't good in non-conference last year, but not this bad.

Jessika Carter needs to make shots too. 8 and 11 in a half is good, but not when you're 1-7.

Nothing new. Winning turnover battle, confusing them into turnovers. Winning the free throw line (but of course they have to foul us). But losing the 3-point battle big time. And leading only by 2 despite taking 14 more shots.... same deal as Marquette.

But hey, at least we're winning rebounding so we're turning that around at least.

Now this stats sheet is more to my liking. Every aspect looks pretty good to me........19 more shots, turnover margin, even rebounding, and a collective 22-34 from the field by Jackson, Bibby, and Danberry. Except Andra Espinoza-Hunter 0-8 (benched for the entire 2nd half) and Jessika Carter's 1-9 from the field.

Someone said in another thread, that the top 3 of the SEC was better than the top 3 of the ACC....... I dunno about that.
