I have posted from time to time that every year I buy a couple of books or such on coaching and basketball theory. This yeat I purchased a book on the Princeton offense for high school basketball but the gem I picked up was the four disc DVD from All Access called All Access: Geno Auriemma. It is video of the first four days of practice and how the Huskies begin the season. The organization of practice didn't surprise me, not a moment is wasted, but the amount of material from running drills and specific goals for the drills and defensive techniques and rotations, etc. The pace is amazing and the focus for players, especially, freshmen is incredibly demanding. It is a tremendous example of how demanding the players.

Does CD send out copies when they get LOIs? :)

It is not surprising that Brianna, Kiah, et al. have taken a little time to "get with the program."

What year was it recorded? Who were the newbies and vets?

I know that this has been around for a few years. And hey, these kids have official and unofficial visits and they talk to the players. I do not think that they come in completely ignorant of the system.

Yeah, but watching it and being immersed in those first four days are entire differently. You need to see it.

Wow, does this mean you have to hand back in your card to the Library of Congress?

I think it should be sent to all our recruits.

I already have the LINK. Now I need the disks.
Well I am not sending you my discs, I enjoy them too much and have learned a great deal. Maybe in retirement I'll find a way to do some coaching again.

You are a UCONN fan!
And I have always loved and studied basketball. I love Xs and Os, and everything about it on and off the court. Blessings, I be back much later.
