I'm delighted others appreciate Mike Anthony's lead and first three paragraphs. At a time when journalists are assailed for bias and dishonesty, it's nice to read that some Bone yarders recognize and value a well-written column. Using the word gravity in both its essential meanings was a (key)stroke of brilliance.
Bravo to Anthony for so beautifully chronicling the efforts of Samuelson and the Huskies.
Oh, it's just been brought to my attention, wbbfan1 that you're referring to a different game story. Read Anthony's piece in The Hartford Courant; it's superior.
What a dumb comment: "She's [Dangerfield] only 5'5, but she's still a human being." I, too, am "only 5'5," but I've always assumed that I was also "a human being." Perhaps I was taking being a human for granted; it seemed to go with the head, hands, and feet.
Well, Crystal learned a bit more than expected today: she's a human. (Lou can lift me up anytime.)
