Story on Mike Hermann, qb for Rensselaer P.I. (Div. III) who signed a tryout contract with the San Diego Chargers. Mike was the product of an abusive childhood who persevered. For added local flavor, it was noted that he prepped at Avon Old Farms. (I'd link the story, but I'm at work)

Wow! My alma mater, I played 3 years V-baseball at RPI and we all had (delusional) dreams of playing pro ball. Good luck to the kid!!
