I love me a good quote and I was amused when Braylon Mullins speaking with CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson said in the moments right after he swished his 35-footer to beat Duke and send the team to Indianapolis, "I'm just glad that s#*t went in."

So it got me thinking about other classic Husky quotes. Here's what I got:

"It's doable." Jim Calhoun when asked if the UConn program could be competitive on a national level.

"Not one dime." Calhoun when asked if he would return part of his state highest salary during a rough financial time for the state.

"I f@#%*!d up. OK?" Calhoun when asked why he didn't recruit Waterbury's Ryan Gomes.

"I saw the orange orb and I grabbed it." Emeka Okafor after a offensive rebound and putback secured a tournament win, I think against Duke in the national semifinal.

"I love this team. I really love this team." A snippet of Charles Okwandu after the team won the Big East tournament in 2011.

"That's what happens when you ban us. You get the Hungry Huskies." Shabazz Napier during the 2014 trophy presentation.

"You better get us now. You better get us now because it's coming." Dan Hurley in the post game after a loss in the early part of his tenure.

"They thought they could beat us. They could not." Adama Sanogo after a win on the way to the 2023 championship.

What's your favorite program quote? I know there are a ton of great ones that I don't recall or missed.

I have about a dozen from players back in the late 80s/early 90s I wish I could share but I would be implicating too many of them....

I do remember one from the great Marty Glickman who did radio for a few years, which back then was the only way for us to track many of the games. I forget exactly who it was we were playing, but Phil Gamble was at the line late in a close game we were trailing. Glickman in his inimitable style was describing all the various scenarios and finally he said "if he misses them both, things will look.......black"

Here's a bunch from Kevin Ollie.

My favorite, "Greatness is never on discount. Success is never on sale."

"Right here, in this room, is enough" is another great one from Ollie at his opening press conference that the team attended when he was named head coach (and that group constituted most of the team that won it in 2014).

"I'm just so glad to be a ducking Husky!"

You did a great job remembering many of the classics.

One from JC that you missed: "Hit him, you [mofo]."

Don’t forget Ollie going into the half vs nova in the 2nd round(?) “we gonna win this game”

I don’t remember the exact quote, but it was something like; “Mr. Kellogg, we’ve got spurtability” El-Amin either coined the phrase or made it catch on talking to Clark Kellogg in ‘99
