Yale 2

For all but 3.5 seconds of the first 2 periods, Yale set up similar shots resulting in scoring their first goal. A bit lax on Qunnipiac's part to end the period, but a skilled goal by the Elis. They pushed hard to the end of the 2nd period, fought harder the entire game, and clearly are very deserving of the victory. Some comments suggest some people never played much hockey, but good for Yale.First two goals for Yale were soft and by the time they scored their third, it was too late for the Q.
Maine job's open too ...
Word is Maine has contacted no one about the job, and may just put Bob Corkum, Tim Whitehead's assistant in the job. He's currently the interim. Cronin has not even been contacted by Maine. They have all but said loud and clear that they want a "Maine man" for the job (unless of course George Gwozdecky throw his hat in ring) - look for Greg Cronin or Bridgeport Sound Tiger Coach Scott Pellerin to lead the pack now that Jim Montgomery has taken Gwozdecky's old job @ Denver.
I personally don't think Pecknold will be quick to leave QU. He built the program. He has the ability to lure top talent now. Players who play for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program to QU. So does Allain at Yale. Not so good for Quinnipiac, a dozen+ players leaving, and an average age dropping down from the current quarter century mark = rebuilding year for Pecknold. Hmmm, Maine job's open too ...
F Notre Dame. Why do they have to succeed at everything?
