Wow. That’s.....shocking. I’m surprised by this.

He'll land on his feet. When one door closes, another one opens......and quite often leading to a better job/position/assignment/situation than you left. :)

I hate to hear about any job losses. Those of us loyal to sports and ESPN have seen some major personalities come and go over the years and at some point we all get accustomed to following them.

ESPN has made a significant number of changes over the years and really doesn't resemble the old days. I know I'm beyond the age bracket of their target audience but I miss the days when the network was sports and sports interest rather than an endless stream of shows that are two or three heads bickering. With few sports to air for the past few months this was inevitable.

Well, it's all about revenue and expenses so 2 things-1. ESPN vastly over paid for the NBA and is ruing that contract as revenues are not coming and 2. The Athletic is/will be in a similar situation as I don't see a truly viable revenue plan for them either.

We, on this forum, are a minority, we care about Women's sports, specifically WCBB. However, corporate dollars are not going to be spent in any meaningful way as viewership is still very low. Just a reality so let's keep that in mind when "railing" against the sports powers that be"-show them a viable revenue plan and investment will follow...short of that, and we are all just "Don Quixote's" fighting windmills...

The bickering heads pre-dates the pandemic. While I like PTI, and always have, and watch it, for that matter, the rest of them do nothing for me. Nor does Sportscenter, which is often endless discussion endlessly.
