I don't do twitter. And I fail to see why she wasn't allowed to refute a stupid statement. She probably makes a lot less money too... is that the real reason?Or, she acted like a professional and had her partner's back.(while they were on the air, anyway)

Maybe I should have read it before posting... watched on dvr, and didn't want to miss Swin but otherwise was on FF through halftime.Read the game thread.

He is a typical male flapper who does not watch or appreciate good basketball...He is use to watching the garbage on the mens
's side that cannot pas, shoot beyond 10 feet or set a pick.....MCBB is getting like the NBA.
Great Point! What makes the disparity between team talent so great in UCONN's case is that there are so few elite programs in the American Conference. If Football wasn't controlling conference membership UCONN would be in a power conference in WBB. However there is still the "problem" of UCONN winning national championships every year!Next time someone complains to you about how few games in women's basketball are competitive, just agree and tell them that is why you stopped watching college football - Alabama and their ilk go 13-1 outscoring their opponents 2.3 to 1. They just beat the #3 ranked team 38-0. At least women's basketball is a little competitive!
Great. I only saw the halftime segment, and she let him have his way for the most part. Nice to know she stood up later.Honestly, I thought Swin did a decent job of rebuttal in the postgame. Gottlieb was arguing (rather nonsensically, tbh) that there isn't enough parity in women's basketball, and Swin said it was up to the other women's programs to reach the bar that UConn has set. She even said she thought other teams (she specifically mentioned South Carolina) might have as much talent as UConn, but that UConn was still the best team because of their experience, teamwork, etc. So, short of calling Gottlieb out for being dumb or unknowledgeable about the women's game, which might've been true but wouldn't have been very professional, I think she more or less did what she could.
Swin had to have been caught off guard by the disparaging comments from the moron Gottlieb. After all, she never could have anticipated CBS Sports seating her next to a smarmy shmuck of Gottlieb's magnitude who knew nothing about WCBB and who cares about our sport even less.
HEY GOTTLIEB...![]()
Check out Doug Gottlieb's wikipedia page vs Swin's. Good for some laughs !!
