I always wondered if George, in his infinite slowness, reads some of these fan theories and deliberately changes the story (with associated rewrites), simply to maintain some intrigue and/or mess with his readers.

Targaryens love them some incest, so cousins marrying is far from weird. Despite being dumb.

I'd rather have Jon schtoop his half sister.

First Cousins marrying is legal in many U.S. states. It isn't that crazy really on the show. The main problem is that they really haven't liked each other that much. So I don't see it. I think Jon may need to marry Dany, who he's also related to.

Good point. But I don't see Jon marrying Dany. I don't see her marrying again. And she's barren at this point anyway no? No heirs to be had.

Bran also played a fairly large role in getting his buddy Hodor killed. While the wights were storming the lair of the Children of the Forest, Bran is watching the oldies channel instead of getting out of there.
