Not sure where to put this so here it goes: UConn lax defeats No. 6 Virginia Tech 8-5 today and goes 3-0 on it's Florida trip.
Program is definitely on the upswing and here's hoping it has a move to D1 in the near future.

UConn should do well with a lax program; but, unless a big donor comes forward or B1G money starts rolling in, funding right now is at issue at the University and the State.

Is LAX a club team and, on the assumption it is, do club teams normally play schools that offer the sport with scholarships? I assumed they only played other club teams.

Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) -- VaTech is non-varsity (club) as well.

Thanks huskymedic. I ASSumed that VT was varsity since they were in the ACC.

Update: UConn beat URI on thursday (4/14) by a score of 8-7 to improve to 8-1 overall, with its only loss to BC. Huskies are currently ranked 17.
Three regular season games left: Central, Northeastern and UNH. New Hampshire sits on top of the Pioneer League standings at 7-1 and is ranked 19.
