So the Chiefs took the MAC guy over the B12 guy? The Big 12 guy was the safer pick; from a bigger school, higher ranked on most boards. I read a blurb that said Dorsey wanted Joeckel while Reid wanted Fisher. Now I just hear Reid giving more praise to Dorsey in one interview than I can ever remember a coach praising the GM. He hung the 1st round selection on Dorsey, saying more that once that Dorsey "did a great job".

Now, either the writer was making stuff up or Reid the veteran is already in surival mode. The idea of Reid insisting on getting his (risky) pick then sticking it on the GM is not hard to believe. If they win, everybody wins. If they lose it's the GM's fault. Either way, a good chunk of Dorsey's future is tied to a player he may not have wanted. Good luck.

I think it matters more what Lamar Hunt's kid thinks and who he wanted. i don't think that clark hunt is a "hands off" type of owner. Why is a big 12 guy a safer pick than a MAC guy? because a media talking head says so? Because the big 12 plays such good football compared to the MAC?

shame on you.

Btw, Fisher looks like a much better athlete while Joeckl played against many more pros. Tough call really.
