This is mostly in regards to a lawsuit that would pay previous athletes compensation for the NIL that they were prevented from earning. With a $3billion settlement anticipated, enough to wipe out years and years of TV money, college presidents and Congress are waking up that they may need to stop this. Law could just protect NCAA on financial damages, or could also support a framework of regulation around the finances and regulation of college sport.
