seems like he can coach, IDK

Are Jim Calhoun and Dan Hurley on the list?

To me the band Athlete has more credibility than the Athletic.

They are taking ESPN's play on lists being controversial and this one is fully caffeinated with controversy.

The guy who made the list said it doesn't include the 90s, hence the Calhoun ranking. But if that's true, then Hurley needs to be higher.
With his methodology (valuing regular seasons, conference/conf tourny titles, longevity/total wins only in the 25 years, and including titles only as part of the larger resume), it's fair to penalize both Calhoun and Hurley. Calhoun was still better from '01-'12 than Hurley has been his whole career.

But I just disagree with the way he has weighted his methodology due to significant differences in conference affiliation difficulty.

Hurley made Wagner respectable, Rhode Island a team that won in the tournament and got multiple titles at UConn. Knock him for lack of regular season titles, I guess, but there is some context. The chart above doesn't show what his teams were the year before he got there. Spoiler -- they were bad.

None of us like the list. Even me, who thinks we tend to underrate consistent excellence vs titles. Hard to see Stevens so high, or Few, when they didn't break through and win one.
