I enjoy us being #1 so I don’t mind the layoff. I wear a UConn sweatshirt many days while working with the old school happy husky mascot. I go around telling everyone the happy huskies are #1 in the entire world!!!

4 more days??? I’m suffering big time here. Not only no games but very little content. None of the usual podcasts or anything either. At least we got that Jim Rome interview today.

It’s great for me cuz the Bills just lost and I wanted to hang myself all week and I am just barely a human again by this weekend…now I go right into FULL Husky mode. Timing is just enough to keep me breathing. Onto the next!

Yeah. This is a long brutal week. Terrible weather too. Sunday is gonna be crazy. UConn at XL at noon then the AFC and NFC championship games. Sunday will be a wild rush for sure!!!
I watched the women's game so that kind of broke things up and I had to work late this week, so it's all kind of working out for me. Definitely ready for our next game though.

It's like the weather. Can't do a darn thing about it. The upside is we win one game -at home- against a team we beat on the road and we get #1 for another week. That thought calms me down.

Plus I don't want to wish the season away. Let it play out. Enjoy the journey. There is a large mountain of tough games waiting for us at the end of the Big East schedule. It will get here. No rush. Sit back relax. We're number #1. And we really are #1.

I’m struggling after being up all night puking with diarrhea. Withdrawal or norovirus? Brutal.

Definitely agree. Can embrace the #1 ranking for while having the week off from games, have some good practices and get a bit more healthy.
Wow, that's a shift. Did you benefit from a good night's sleep?

Listened to “ UConn’s Dream Season: An Oral History Matthew Edwards” 15 episodes, very well done. First season with season tickets. Amazing radio and tv sound bites, especially the home games at the Civic Center. Footage I‘d never heard before. Up to episode 9: Syracuse and Georgetown games. I still haven’t heard louder crowds at any other UConn games. Worth listening to.

While I don't like going this long between games (for personal entertainment purposes as much as anything) I'm up to my elbows in year-end so having a full week where I can be in the office from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm has its benefits.

It’s also good to see other top ten teams biting the dust like Kentucky and Auburn and probably others that I haven’t noticed.

You work way too much. There are no benefits to that.
