Going Forward

Larrier is the perfect player for this.

As was DHam and, to a lesser extent, Shonn Miller; but he seems so reluctant to run that offense, doesn't he?
He might get banged into and perhaps get hurt
He's saving himself for all the teams with lottery picks??!!

He's showing them plenty in all those isolation sets

Which is dumb. I remember a game at XL against Stanford back in November of 2013 where we were undefeated and up 10 at half. Dawkins then came out with a wacky 1-3-1 zone where the hole was right at the free thow line. Ollie for some unknown reason didn't tell them to put Daniels in the middle and so we continued passing around the perimeter the whole half. We score about 12 points that half and lost by 10. From that point forward, people have played zones on us a lot more because they know Ollie can't adjust to them.

That was the first time I really questioned KO as a coach.

It looked dumb a few months later, but more appropriate in the years that followed.

Micro level? Stop pretending like a win in overtime vs a 1-4 Ivy team is somehow a blessing from god and a good win for the UNI is a start...Deep down Ollie knows that is BS but he has peddled that BS long enough to where he is starting to believe it IMO.

Teach the kids how to box out. Though I saw a few impressive rebounds from the guards and MD.
More of an inside/out game.
Stop settling for 3s.

That Ivy league team played a few very high ranked teams closely this year and is not the easiest to match up with - good thing their guard had an off night
inside/out isn't going to work until the bigs learn that type of game- never used that in HS
boxing out is an art - AB played 4 years and didn't do it, Miller was a tough player but he didn't have the technique at all - it is an essential part of the game and one I would like to see also
Settling for 3's is maddening but at times it the only option unless AG, JA or CV are driving - just do not have the experience or in some cases, the skills of the bigs and wings to generate an offensive flow that would shake things up - at least right now
Its frustrating.......................................................

I want to see Ollie standing more, prowling the sideline, yelling from the box at both players and refs.
Thank you.
