Let's get off the bi_ch train and look at the bright side. There were some glimmers, especially near the end.

Glimmers on offense were:
Mensah's running
No sacks of Pindell
Davis making several big catches at crucial times, with passes thrown where only he could get them
Pindell throwing much more accurately than we expected at the start of the season, especially the Davis passes, the long pass to Maurisseau, and the end zone passes to Mayala and the one to McLean

Glimmers on defense:
Stunts at the end showed what can be done with some smarts instead of just trying to overpower your man.
Atkins' sack wasn't a bull rush. He delayed and caught the O-lineman flatfooted and ran around him.
Thomas' last two plays. Looked like Lawrence of the Meadowlands running through gaps right to the QB

Agreed! In addition was the undeniable speed and elusiveness of Kyle Buss. Punt Return at 1:30:30

One true thing is that they may have found something with playing 2 big DTs, 2 speedy DE's, and nickel behind it. That boost of speed/athletcism got us to the QB for the first time all year.

You will be seeing that again.

Originally I was thinking that we'd only be able to put Thomas and Beavers at DE on obvious passing downs because we'd struggle to stop the run, but we haven't really stopped the run anyway. Worst case scenario is we give up yards that we'd be giving up anyway. I'm willing to try anything at this point.

Depressing but insightful point.
