Safety Gilbert St. Louis announced on Twitter several days ago that he will be transferring from the University of Connecticut to Ball State. Gilbert played at UConn for two seasons but left the team last season, I’m unsure if he remained enrolled in school. If he remained in school then I believe he will have one year of eligibility remaining after sitting out the mandatory year as a transfer, if he left school I believe this season would count as a redshirt season and he would have two years of eligibility remaining. As a high school player, Gilbert played at Plantation High School in Davie, Florida.
