Nice problem to have... http://runwayramblings.blogspot.com/2015/09/gettng-ball-to-playmakers-no-1-on.html

>>First-year offensive coordinator Frank Verducci addressed the process of getting the ball to playmakers like Thomas, Newsome, Bloom, Tommy Myers, Ron Johnson, Thomas Lucas and Tyraiq Beals enough.

"That is my responsibility to put them in position to be successful," Verducci said. "The other part of the equation is the defense, we can only put the ball where the defense allows us to put the ball. We are not going to bang our heads against the wall trying to do things. Those things tend to even out over the course of the season. If they want to take one thing away, we should be able to adapt and run the other."<<

love it, that's what we need, an explosive offense that can score!

Love the quote from Verducci - solid gold all the way around. Take what the D gives and don't get trapped into forcing a certain gameplan.

I don't care what Verducci says -- just how the O performs. (Unless, of course, he ever talks about wallpaper, in which case he's lost me forever.)

It's not rocket science, play the field, use space to your advantage. I know it's easier said than done, but at least this guy gets it. Like what I'm reading.

The bolded part. This 1000x. Tired of watching UConn offenses try to run the ball up the middle two times in a row, only to be left with a 3rd and 6 followed by a punt. I have no problem with a ground and pound attack, but some creativity is a must. The offense has been so predictable in recent years. This guy gets it.
