By now we've seen the best and worst of Silas Demary Jr.

Give him a path with his right and he'll deliver a beat-down.
Open 3s: money.
Find the open man, delivered.
In your shirt D, check. Laterally, he can get beat quicksters.
Late game FT line problems are concerning. Coaches will help him learn to quiet the 'FT demons'. More of a zazen thing than mechanics.
Focus: hmm, well, not 100%. After getting picked a couple of times vs. StJ, Hurley surely delivered what I hope was a lasting message to Demary. "You're a dawg. Show your fangs every possession!"
Leadership has to be by example out there and it's contagious good or bad. Dawg is as dawg does.

We see he has IT in him so it's a matter of continued growth. We are blessed with the best coaching staff in the nation. Truly, no worries.

It’s a 20 point loss without him. He will clean up turnovers but others who handle will not solve the problem. Ross, Stew, Smith and Reed are all insecure with the ball at times.
Silas under great pressure got the inbounds every time. That was a ton of energy expended.

Silas was under a lot of pressure. I might have tried him and Smith in the back court together at times last night. Smith has his limitations, but at least he fast with the ball and could have help break the press.

Weird game for him and I think he will get better from it. Just feels like he is "that" guy and just needs to keep refining things. Agree we get absolutely smoked last night without him. Which is kind of nuts because he had 9 TOs. If we dont get what we all want this season I think it will be due to other reasons.

He plays so hard - that’s got to be exhausting. We need Mali back to being really good so we don’t wear down Silas.

After the last pick. He turned into a potential legend.

Silas is certainly good enough to be a championship-level PG, but he needs help. Being off the ball with Mal, Solo and Mullins being the primary ball handler for short stretches will help him to deliver in crunch time.

Silas clearly had his issues yesterday, but I feel really good about him being our lead guard.

Idk about this +11 you’re crediting him with. 9 turnovers and 3 missed free throws certainly cost us.

Maybe I'm just making excuses to cope but he seemed gassed even midway through the second half. He willed us back to an almost comeback, but then fell apart at the wrong times with the missed FTs and inbound turnover (1 of 9 turnovers)

I don't think late game FTs are generally an issue with him. He's closed out games for us a few times this year. Just didn't have it last night

.-.
I think Silas' jawing after his dunk showed that his emotions were running very high. Anger and adrenaline can certainly help your performance, but it may also cause some overeager turnovers.

He was completely gassed because he played in high leverage situation the entire game. Been said to death but need to find ways to get him some gas. To me he was our player of the game last night and frankly, all year.
